i recently had an incident in which the bristles from the sunflower stem and head stuck me in my hands and on my wrist and i developed a small blister at the site and when the blister opened it created a very itchy rash that seemed to slmost spread, so i have apparently had some type of allergic reaction to this ...ing of my skin from these bristles. i am wondering if you have ever heard of such a thing happening and what can be used to relieve this problem. any help would be deeply appreciated.

today we are starting a flower garden... neither of us have ever did gardening.... i would love to have sunflowers as a backyard border and ideas on easy to grow for my first garden. my hubbi bought verbena for ground covering .. my garden will be in direct sunlight.. my grandkids are helping .. ANY IDEAS WHAT TO USE AND HOW TO MAKE MY BACKYARD PRETTY? TY
