Sow the seed in moist, fertile, well-drained soil when the weather is warm in the spring. Seeds should be planted an inch to an inch and a half deep approximately. Water them as needed, but I believe they are fairly drought tolerant. They should be ready to harvest early to mid summer.

I want to know the stepwise procedure for germinating Gram Seed in Soil

Hi Anita, You should have enough moisture in the seed container since you stated you do have condensation on the lid. Once the seedlings have emerged, be sure to remove the lid and place the plants in a sunny location. If you leave the lid on too long after the seedlings emerge, you may find mold forming on your seedlings.

I am germinating seeds for the first time in a new plastic container with a clear plastic cover. Question is: Do I water these germinating seeds while I am waiting for the seedlings to appear? Should I mist spray the soil? There is a lot of condensation in the clear cover. Is that enough moisture?
