Hi Jack, Without seeing the tree, I can only guess what it is you're looking for. I would check with your local Cooperative Extension office- they would be familiar with the trees that grow in your locale. Alternatively, speak with someone from a local tree nursery; they would be able to identify it as well.

I have 3 palms that have a "bamboo" style trunk the diameter aprox. 4 inches hieght 15-20 feet high with small 5-6 feet frones. No one can tell me what they are or where I can get more. What are they?

Hi Gene, Without actually seeing the palm fronds I can only guess what you've found. I found the following links to Mexican Palm trees that may help you identify them, but your best bet may be to take a front to a local nurserymen or your local Cooperative Extension agent for proper identification.

Hello, I need to know a breed of palm I found ,, I think maybe its a mexican fan palm from what i can see in pics on the net> Do they have thorns on the stems under the fans towrd the base because this one does. Thanks.
