For a lumpy lawn, try top dressing with a soil similar to what you already have. The soil will naturally fill in the low spots and smooth out your lawn.
Another thing you can try is aeration. Lumpy lawns are often caused by thatch buildup and aeration will help alleviate the problem.
-- Contributed by: Kathleen RobertsMy lawn isn't smooth looking. The grass is green, but the lawn has a 'lumpy' look. How can I make the lawn look lush and smooth?
-- Contributed by: PaulaHi Maria, Without knowing how many petals the flower has, I can only guess what the plant is. It could possibly be a member of the aster family if it has elongated petals or even sorrel. If the plants aren't already blooming you could use Scotts Turf Builder, but if they've already taken off in your lawn this year try using Ortho Weed-B-Gon Weed Killer for lawns.
-- Contributed by: Charlotte GerberMy lawn hasn't been properly maintained and now has a weed that has taken over a significant portion of the lawn. I don't recognize the weed, it has a lovely small yellow flower that is currently blooming with an elongated round leaf (it isn't crabgrass). What's the best way to eliminate the weed and restore a healthy lawn? I live in Baltimore, MD.
