I have a lot of very beautiful gardenias in my yard since I live in a climate where they thrive. I have looked for information as to when the best time to prune gardenias and the extent of pruning that is necessary. Do you have any suggestions? Where can I find information on this topic?

The pink gardenia is rare and can be difficult to get. Your neighbors are very fortunate! I have found one place that occasionally carries this gardenia, called Kopsia fruticosa. Try Top Tropicals, but you will need to check back often to see if it is available.

Two of mey neighbors have gardenias that are spectacular at Christmas time. The color of the gardenias is bright pink to almost red. What kind of gardenia is this? I would love to plant one. I live in Texas, Zone 9.
