I'm afraid I cannot help you with this, but perhaps someone else can.
-- Contributed by: Kathleen Robertsabout a year ago I bookmarked a gnome for sale. He had a sea captains hat on, blue jacket , and was holding a small lighthouse in his arm. The computer crashed and now I can't find him again. I really want to buy him for my pond garden.
-- Contributed by: PATTY MCI have a gnome sitting on a seat, sleeping with a pipe in his hand, a satchel and pick at this feet. It has a poem on the back, which says "take care to rest when hurry bound" I can't make out the rest of the poem. Can anyone help?
-- Contributed by: LesleyHi Shanda, I can't find anything about gnomes having to face south. Perhaps one of these websites can help you with gnome folklore and information:
-- Contributed by: Charlotte GerberI have heard gnomes folklore that gnomes need to face a certain direction for good luck, I believe it is South. Is that true?
-- Contributed by: ShandaIt is really impossible to determine this without seeing your gnome. Your best bet is to find a local antiques dealer and see what resources they can recommend. You might also check you local library or book store for a book about collectible gnomes.
-- Contributed by: Kathleen RobertsHello, I have a gnome like the one pictured here. He was left to me by my Mom and I would really like to know more about him, eg, age, where made, what is he made of, etc. Thank you if you can help. Cath. Jan/08
