last year i bought three potentilla bushes the ones with the yellow flowers they were beautiful all summer this year they only seem to have leaves on the one side and the rest of the plant lokks spindly and dead any suggestions?

i planted three potentilla shrubs last year in the spring the were beautiful last summer this year two of the plants are only growing leaves on one side and the other one looks dead any suggestions as i paid alot of money for them and would like to keep them going
