Sweet Flag (Acorus) - Waterside plants of the arum order, easily cultivated. A. Calamus is now naturalised in most parts of Europe. A. gramineus has a slender creeping rhizome covered with numerous grass-like leaves, from 4 to 6 inches in length. This plant is often seen in the little bronze trays of water-plants in Japanese gardens. China.
