Choosing Tomato Varieties for Your Region

Cherry tomatoes and short-season varieties like “Early girl” will do well in just about any climate. With other tomatoes, you’ll have the best luck with varieties that have been developed to thrive in you climate. Here is a list of recommended varieties by region:

Something is missing from this list... none of these climates describe the Sacramento, CA region. So for me this is not helpful at all. Briefly list some reasons why each variety is good for said region, then I could at least make an educated guess.
