Transplant a blueberry bush
What is the best time of year to dig up, move and replant a blueberry bush?

The best time of the year to dig up and transplant a blueberry bush is after the first frost has passed and the leaves on the plant begin to fall off.
Be sure to pick a day when you can immediately transplant, as blueberries are not fond of sitting in water. I would also take a soil sample of the area where you are transplanting to make sure that the pH is around 5; this is what blueberries like best. Also, be sure to dig up as much of the rootball as possible when moving, and dig a wide and shallow hole, no deeper than the rootball. Place plenty of rich organic matter in the hole. Water daily with a soaker hose until the ground freezes.
